What Are the Building Blocks of Everything?

The Standard Model of Particle Physics

Particle Tracks Particle Physics is the quest to determine what everything in the universe is made of at the most fundamental level. We, the Earth, and all the matter we can see is made of atoms. Atoms are made of electrons, protons, and neutrons. But how much farther down can we go? Is there a set of fundamental particles, that aren’t made of anything else? If so, how many of them does it take to make up everything in the universe? We’ll explore what physicists do and don’t know about the answers to these questions.
